Thank You

Hi! If you follow me on instagram then you would have seen a sneak peek of this card.
This last week I've been playing around with my inks and watercolour paper and creating all sorts of gorgeous background papers.

With this card I decided to also use the bokeh technique. If you havent heard of it, try it! It is essentially taking a background and sponging circles in various shapes in white ink.

I have used melon mambo, bermuda bay, crushed curry inks to create my background and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Hostess stamp set 'Let your hair down.'

If you have any questions let me know and thanks for looking :)

TSOT #203

Hello, Hello! Well I think I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things. I lost my crafting mojo for a good month and then we had Christmas and school holidays and I just haven't found the time... BUT, my kids have gone back to school and I'm ready to go :)

So here's my card for this weeks Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch.

I cheated a bit by using striped DSP instead of cutting individual strips.

Here's the sketch:

We hope you can join us this week - it's awesome seeing your creations.

Thanks for looking

Addicted to CAS #53

Hello, Hello!! Well I've been busy here today - I think I did a mini freak out and realised that I had NO Christmas cards and yep it's Dec 1st! So today I bunkered down and started creating.

This is a card I created for the challenge over at Addicted to CAS and the code word is 'Dots':

Now for those who know me, dotted embossing seems to be my go-to, so I thought this challenge was perfect for me :) I used whisper white, wild wasabi and crumb cake, with a touch of sparkle for my colour combo. My tree is from Festival of Trees and the sentiment is from Endless Wishes and the embossing folder is the Large Dots from Stampin' Up!

Thanks for stopping past and taking a look!

TSOT #195 - Soft Christmas

Hello! I'm so sorry for the late post - but things have been busy!

Ok onto my card for this weeks Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch:

The theme for this week is 'snow is coming' and the main panel on the sketch was to be patterned paper or stamped, so I went looking for a piece of DSP to suit. I found this one from the nordic noel pack and I love how soft and pretty it is.

I then went super simple for the rest of the card and used my Festival of Trees stamped in wild wasabi. I then heat embossed using a new to me powder called white pearl, by WOW. Oh my goodness this powder is stunning! It gives a beautiful pearly finish (this photo doesn't do it justice!) and softens the stamped image. I layered the image onto a wild wasabi oval and the sentiment is also embossed with the white pearl and is from Good Greetings.

Here's the sketch:

I hope you like my card and are able to join in with us this week.

Thank for looking :)

Motley Monsters - Part 3

Hello, hello! I hope you are having a great weekend. It's quite busy here, but I'm here to day to share the third card in my Motley Monsters series. You can see part 1 and part 2 by clicking on the links.

So my third card was actually inspired by this card by Brian King.

Here's my really simplified version:

How awesome is this pattern for Christmas? Love it! I teamed it up with some real red for a bit of pop. It's not normally a colour combo I would use, but I think it works - what do you think?

If you have any questions about any of the cards, just contact me and I can let you know the deets :)

Thanks for looking :)
