Wedding Card #4

Ok, so now Im going to share one of my favourite cards.

This card I created using an old Mojo Monday sketch. I have used paper and card are from my stash and the flowers are made using one of the boho punch flowers, which I crumpled to give a bit more texture. The sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases (no it's not retired ;) but I stamped it off once for a more subtle look.

I love this card so much I have used the design a few times since. The most recent was my brother in laws wedding. I also made them a money slider as well.

Any questions just ask and thanks for looking.

TSOT #141

Hi all, it's time again for another sketch over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I went for a rather quick and simple variation of the sketch.

This is another one of my sketches and I actually pulled it from this card. There is a spooky theme to go with this weeks sketch, but here in Oz, we dont really celebrate halloween. I'm also trying to use up some retired papers - but cutting into beautiful papers is SO hard! I'm however happy with how fresh this feels.

Now over to you, it's great seeing what you come up with and I'm sure you are going to want to check out the other DT creations, so go here

TSOT #123 - Sponged Poppies

Hello! Well here in S.A. it's well and truly in the middle of winter. We have had so much rain and I think I've gotten wet most days I've done the school drop off - I'm already hanging out for summer!

Any ways I'm here to share my card I created with this weeks Try Stampin' On Tuesday,

I have always loved this stamp, but lately this seems to be my go-to. I coloured the flowers with my blender pen and stamped the splodge from french foliage for added texture. I then sponged the edges - I know dont fall off your chair! For thise that follow me, you know the I very rarely pull out my sponges!  But I think It gives a nice warm feel. I've kept the rest of the card simple. I know that I was a bit 'loose' in my interpertation of the sketch, but I think it still works :)

So now over to you, it's fantastic seeing what you come up with and you can check out the other design teams creations here.

Two Love Birds - TSOT #110

Hello! Once again we have another great sketch to inspire you to get your crafty on over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I LOVE this sketch and as soon as I saw it, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Heres the sketch:

And what I came up with:

This is the anniversary card I gave to my Hubby - he loved it!
I flipped the sketch and changed the oval to a circle. I kept it clean and simple, with a basic grey and white colour combo, with a 'pop' of colour with real red. The sentiment is from fabulous phrases, the birds were punched out with the bird punch and the glimmer heart is from the owl builder punch and the real red heart is from heart to heart punch. The birds and heart are popped up on dimensionals.

I was really happy with how this turned out. Now over to you, go past the Try Stampin' On Tuesday blog and check out the other design team amazing creations and then link up your creation - it's great seeing what you come up with!

TSOT #108 - Two Owls

Hello! It's time for another fabulous sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I actually struggled with this one - dont know why, as it's a nice clean and simple sketch - my favourite! But I think my mojo has gone MIA this past week.

Any ways heres the great sketch from Mynnette:

And my contribution:

This is a card which started out with one idea in mind, but as I was making it, ended up being a baby card - ever happen to anyone else. This card is for all the mums expecting twin boys - I dont think I could go there ;) I kept the lines clean and simple and I used marina mist, crumb cake and a strip of greenhouse gala dsp. The sentiment is from fabulous phrases and the panel behind the owls is the A to Z stamped in daffodil delight.

Go past the Try Stampin' On Tuesday blog, for the other design teams fantastic creations and link yours up as well - we love seeing what you come up with!

Baja Breeze Wedding

Hi. Well with Christmas and New years over, it's time to shift gears - I feel like all I've been making are card with red, green or trees on it! In November, I went to a wedding and I'm only just getting a chance to share it with you. Here it is:

The card is actually a case from here. I love the softness, yet crisp lines of baja breeze and whisper white. I used the vintage wallpaper EB folder and beautiful wings embosslit. The sentiment is from 'fabulous phrases' and is actually stamped in marina mist, as it showed up a little darker on the baja breeze card. I even decorated the inside:

Enjoy the Butterflies

* Happy New Year!! *

I hope you are all well and that you had a great time seeing in the new year.
Seems crazy to be writing 2013!

Over at Try Stampin on Tuesday Jenn has once again given us a great sketch to work with:

Here's my take on it:

I started with a crumb cake base and added a piece of Belle Bleu retired dsp (love this paper - I'm annoyed I never bought more ;) I then added scallop trim in very vanilla and not quite navy. For my image panel I stamped onto water colour paper in black staz on, two of the three butterflies from 'Kindness matters', coloured them with my blender pen using not quite navy ink and fussy cut them out. I then mounted them onto dimensionals onto my panel. My sentiment is from 'Fabulous phrases' and cropped with my 3/4" circle punch and layered onto a 1"circle. I added some pearls to the corners and added a double bow. I love the end result and will be using this sketch again for sure!

So now it's your turn. Find a quite moment and join us over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday, we love seeing what you create :)

Fast and Fabulous

Good afternoon! I thought I'd quickly pop by and show you another card that my relative asked me to make. I was inspired by this card.

I was happy with this card, as I had set out to use some techniques which I dont use as ofeten - masking and watercolouring. I used 'Fast and Fabulous' which I masked and stamped in staz on onto watercolor paper and coloured with my blender pens. I was pretty happy with how the colouring turned out, I used baja breeze as my base, then  added marina mist and did some highlighting with not quite navy and the centers are so saffron. I used 'Fabulous Phrases' for my sentiment and I used paisley petals dsp. I have also dry embossed the white mat on the bottom in 'Final Press'.

Also wanted to too my own horn and say that this card which I entered for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, won a "Perfect Princess" award!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Thanks

Afternoon everyone! I just wanted to share a quick thank you card I made today. My inspiration comes from this card. Knowing that this card was going to my Mum, who loves soft pretty colours and the medallion stamp, it was a no brainer :)

This photo doesn't do the card justice!

I used my 'Kindness Matters' stamp set, which had yet to see ink, 'Fabulous Phrases' for the sentiment and of course the 'medallion' stamp. I clear embossed the medallion, because I dont have pink pirouette ink and the versa mark just didn't show up enough. My colours are very vanilla, pink pirouette, certainly celery and crumb cake. I love these soft colours and hope my Mum does as well!
