Morning everyone! I hope for all my Aussie readers that you had a great Australia day! Well it's my turn again to inspire you for the Festive Friday Challenge. I wanted to create something clean and simple this week. This is what I came up with:
I embossed the back panel with the perfect polka dots embossing folder then popped it up on dimensionals. The accordion flower was created by using a strip of real red, scoring it at half centimeter intervals, folding back and forth, then glueing the ends together. I added a vintage brad to the center and added some leaves. The greeting is from "Four the holidays" and I just cut the ends to make a banner. I hope you like my clean card - it was a challenge for me as white space is scary!
Now its your turn! Go and visit Nicole's blog for this weeks challenge and see what the other design team has created.
Thanks for looking!

Encouragement Card's
Hi all! Thought I'd pop past and share some cards I made last year and forgot to share.
I think I like the first card best, but I do like the softer colours of the second. What do you think?
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
These were a case from Chat and I just loved her version, that I had to make a few of my own. I used different dsp from Stampin' up paper stacks and the verse is from Verve Stamps. I love Verve stamps and how they have created a range of scripture stamps. I enjoy being able to send handmade cards off to different people with stamped scripture on it, just to encourage them in their daily life.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Just Add Ink #100
Hi! Over at Just Add Ink, they're celebrating their 100th birthday challenge and so this weeks theme is - 'Just add crowns'. I actually dont own any stamp sets which have crowns or anything to that nature, so I had to think outside the square and came up with this cute box:
I know that these boxes have been around for a while now and I finally had a chance to make one. The box uses the pillow box die, but for my 'crown' shape I cut off all the extra bits on top to get a unified look and cut the bottom straight. The colours I've used are rose red, certainly celery, so saffron and some scrap brown. I embossed the rose red base with the final press embossing folder. The hearts and 'princess' were all cut out using the timeless type alphabet. My Hubby surprised me for Christmas by buying this secretly and it's now my new best friend! You can get the tutorial for the box here.
I am loving the end result and I cant think of any little girl who wouldn't love to get this!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Festive Friday Challenge #1
Hey there! Well it's here - the first Festive Friday Challenge! This week it's all about Valentines day cards.
Now normally I dont make or send out Valentines day cards, but if I do, I generally only make one for Hubby. So that's how I came to this colour combo of soft suede, garden green, whisper white and I must admit I really like it - not too 'girly'! I also wanted to try and challenge myself to use items and stamp sets which I've bought months or even years ago and haven't really used them. I coloured the bottom of the hot air balloon with chocolate chip, old olive, garden green and certainly celery markers. I used a circle treat cup and filled it with yellow M & M's just to try and add more colour to it. The clouds were created using my small scallop circle punch, cutting off the bottoms and glueing straight onto the white - you could also use the top of the cupcake punch. The sentiment is stamped in garden green. I really liked the end result. So why not pop on over to Nicole's blog, find some inspiration, link your card up and join in on the fun!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
* All items used are Stampin' Up.

Festive Friday Design Team
Hi all! When I left you guys for a little break, I said that I had some exciting news to share. Well... I was asked by Stampin' Up demonstrator Nicole Derendorf, to be on her design team for a new feature on her blog called 'Festive Friday Challenge'. This was such a great honor to be asked and I just had to join in on the fun!
The challenge will showcase cards appropriate for the season and the design team will alternate each week. The first lot of cards that will be showcased will be Valentines cards, March we'll have Easter cards and every week in between, we'll be doing Christmas cards. This is going to be a great jump start for those Christmas cards, which we some times leave till the last minute :) So stop by Nicole's blog next Friday for our first challenge and join in on the fun.
