Pintrest Inspired

Hi, today I have a card which I saw on pintrest.

I love the simplicity of this card. For some reason I always forget I can use my paper piercer to add detail - dont know why I forget, as it's so easy to do!

I used the now retired Kindness Matters stamp set and my colours are melon mambo, crumb cake and baja breeze (retired). The twine was from my stash and the baja breeze frame was created by cutting a decorative label in half and adhering to the back of the white panel.

Thanks for looking and have a great day :)

Quick and Easy Card

Hello, Well I'm on the home stretch of my 'to blog' folder. Today I'm sharing a card that came together really quickly and could be for any occasion.

I think this went to one of my DD's friends for their birthday. The dsp is retired now, but seriously if you have any scraps laying around, this is a quick and easy way to use them up!

Thanks for looking.

TSOT #156

Good morning! It's time for another sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. This is another one of my sketches, hope you like it:

And my card:

I used some new products and pulled my colour combo from the watercolour Wonder DSP. I love how fresh and summery this card feels. I'm reading about all of these snow and ice storms from friends on the other side of the world and here in Oz we are finally over our heat waves and the weather has become much more pleasant :)

Hope you can join us this week at TSOT.

Stampin' Retreat

Last year back in July, Nicole who was my Stampin' Up! demo (now my up line) invited me to a retreat she had organised for a few of her stamping friends. I was so glad I went, because the talent that was there was amazing and we managed to pull together almost every item in the catalogue! So of course I wanted to try stamp sets, punches, embossing folder and anything else I hadn't had my hands on.

These two cards were made using the six sided sampler and some retired dsp. I embossed the front panel with the Alphabet Press EB folder. I think they are cute and quite easy to create. I should also make a note that I now own every thing to make this card - hehe.

Any questions just ask and thanks for looking

Clean Butterfly

So the cards I have to share with you this morning are a complete CASE from Mary Fish. Now if haven't seen any of Mary's work (which rock have you been hiding under!!) go and see her amazing creations - truly inspiring.

Any way, these are may take on this quick and easy card.

Seriously how easy and quick, yet beautiful are these?! I love them :) and I dont think too much explaining needs to go into them.

TSOT #155

Hello, It's time for a  Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch, from yours truly :)

The twist this week was either flowers or hearts. I recently purchased the So Very Grateful stamp set and the new in colours, so they were my stating point. I coloured the flowers strawberry slush & crisp cantaloupe & the leaves are done in pistachio pudding.

I hope you have time to play along with us this week.

Thanks for looking.

Competition Time!

Just wanted to let you know that I have a competition going on over at my facebook page Papertrails. Pop past and see how you could win!!

I Seem to do Things in 2...

... not really sure why, but pulling through some pics in my 'to blog' folder, I've noticed I would make cards in two's.

For this set of cards I used the ever elegant Pleasant Poppies:

I stamped the poppies in white ink onto certainly celery card stock (retired) and then heat embossed in white. The first card I ran a versa mark pen around the flowers - not sure if I like it or not. I used soft suede for the sentiments, so saffron dsp and a red button from my stash to add a bit of 'pop'.

These are really cute in real life and since looking at them in this post, I'm going to say that the second card is my favourite - what's yours?

Thanks for stopping by :)

Same Sketch

Good morning!! Thought I'd quickly pop past and share these very simple cards - I'm still pulling a few pics from my 'to blog' folder - eeek!

I used the same sketch, just mixed it up a little. Both of these circle elements were pre stamped, just waiting for me to make them into a card (I throw away very little :) I also was able to use up some long retired dsp - always a bonus :)

Pocket Note Books

Hi! Today I wanted to share some cute note books which I altered the cover.

I used the flower and sentiment stamps from Elements of Style (retired) and stamped them in white ink on all of the different card stocks. I used basic black, elegant eggplant, basic grey, rose red and not quite navy. To make it a more seamless look, I snipped small slits to allow for the wire to go around the card stock. They are quite easy to make and you can make quite a few in a short amount of time - always a bonus if you wanted to make these for Christmas.

Any questions, just ask and as always thanks for stopping by.
