For You Case

I was blog surfing a while ago and found this beauty! Jennifer has actually made this into a mini scrapbook, but I loved the front and had to case it!

I've used baja breeze for my base, chocolate chip and very vanilla. The DSP is from retired elegant soirée and the stamps are from retired stamp sets 'Sweet Summer' and 'Vintage Labels'. Every thing is stamped in chocolate chip and the sentiment is punched out with the word window punch and mounted onto dimensionals. I used some Kaiser Craft vanilla ribbon to create my bow. I love the cuteness (is that a proper word??) of this card.

Lovely Birthday

I'm back to share a card which made quite a while ago for a male relative. Not sure about you, but with male cards I tend to keep them pretty simple.

I actually got my inspiration from this card. It's super easy to put together, I used 'Lovely as a Tree' and stamped it in soft suede, then stamped it again without inking it, to get the shadow. The sentiment is stamped in soft suede and is from 'Curly Cute'. I layered it onto some blue card I had in my stash and used crumb cake as my base.

Festive Friday #19 - Glitter and Glimmer

Hi, it's time for another Festive Friday. When this goes live, I will be in hospital having baby number 3! I think I may have blanked to mention I was pregnant on here :) I'm well and truly ready to have this one and hopefully I'll get some mojo back too :)

Any ways, this week Nicole has challenged us to use glitter or glimmer product. As soon as I knew this I knew I wanted to use the silver glimmer paper. This stuff is awesome! I'm not a huge fan of glitter, as it seems to get every where when I use it, but the glimmer paper has the sparkle with out the mess - it's a win win! So here's my creation for the week:

I was actually inspired by this card by Teneale - her creations are amazing! I knew I wanted to use a simple colour palette, so real red, whisper white and silver it was! I used the DSP from the bright paper stack and soft suede for the owl. I hand cut the owl's santa hat and the glimmer border was created using the Curly Label. The sentiment is from 'Four the Holidays' which has become a go-to for my Christmas greetings.

So why not join us this week and pull out all that glittery bling, go past Nicole's blog to see what the other design members have come up with and have fun with it!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Thinking of You

Hi! It's great when I find cards which I haven't shared with you yet! I found my inspiration from this card. I didn't have the same stamp set which was used, so I used my 'baroque motifs' and the small flower from 'one of a kind' stamp set. I wanted a bit more colour, so I used old olive and rose red for the flowers which were punched out with the boho blossom punch. A little pearl just adds a little bit of bling :) The sentiment is from 'trendy trees' and is punched out with the oval and popped up on dimensionals. Once again, this is such a simple card, yet stunning and easy to mass produce.

Musical Birthday

Hi! I made this card for my BIL's birthday last year!

I used Kaiser Craft's 'sheet music' panel stamp, along with Stampin Up's 'well scripted' happy birthday. I used real red, whisper white and basic black for my colours. And a few small silver brads just set it off (well I think so) I like how clean and simple this card is. I think my BIL liked it too :)

Owl Birthday

This was a card which was very easy to make. I had the woodgrain paper, which I punched a 1 3/4" hole and created my little owl. A few branches, a greeting and voila - done!

I reckon this card took about 10 mins to make!

Sunny Creations Guest Designer - 039/12

Hi! I was asked to be a guest designer for this weeks challenge at Sunny Challenges and Creations. We were asked to use the sketch along with the colours tempting turquoise, melon mambo and soft suede.

Now the best thing about a challenge is that it challenges you... and these colours threw me for a while :) until I started playing around with them. I dont think I've ever used soft suede with any other colour but old olive... So it was great to step out of my comfort zone.

I love how diverse this sketch is and is one I will use in the future. I used the pendants from 'Party this Way' and used my 1/16" hole punch, then threaded some crochet twine through to 'hang' my pendants.
I used the decorative label punch for the mat behind the sentiment. Here's a video to show you how it's done. The tempting turquoise and melon mambo panels are all dry embossed with the 'perfect polka dots' EB folder.

Go on over to Sunny Challenges and Creations and check out all the other amazing creations the design team have come up with and join in on the fun!

Thanks for looking and have a great day :)

Festive Friday #17 - Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! I'm back today with another Festive Friday and this week we have a sketch for you to work with. I actually found this one quite a challenge to get to work... any one else have that problem from time to time? :) But eventually I was happy with what I came up with.

Heres the sketch:

And this is what I came up with:

I used Soft suede, crumb cake and very vanilla for my colours and used the images from 'Tidings of Joy'. I stamped the star twice, coloured one which I then fussy cut and popped up on dimensionals. Mary and baby Jesus are coloured with blender pens and ink pads, then also fussy cut and popped up on dimensionals. The sentiment was inked with markers, so that I could fit it into the circle. The very vanilla circles are 1 1/4" and layered onto soft suede 1 3/8" circles. I placed a length of crumb cake seam binding behind the circles. The very vanilla panel is embossed with the 'vintage wallpaper' EB folder. This is quite a simple card, but I really like how it turned out and I think it would be an easy one to mass produce.

Now over to you to join in on the fun! Head over to Nicole's blog to see what the other design team members have come up with and have a go at the sketch.

Fast and Fabulous

Good afternoon! I thought I'd quickly pop by and show you another card that my relative asked me to make. I was inspired by this card.

I was happy with this card, as I had set out to use some techniques which I dont use as ofeten - masking and watercolouring. I used 'Fast and Fabulous' which I masked and stamped in staz on onto watercolor paper and coloured with my blender pens. I was pretty happy with how the colouring turned out, I used baja breeze as my base, then  added marina mist and did some highlighting with not quite navy and the centers are so saffron. I used 'Fabulous Phrases' for my sentiment and I used paisley petals dsp. I have also dry embossed the white mat on the bottom in 'Final Press'.

Also wanted to too my own horn and say that this card which I entered for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, won a "Perfect Princess" award!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
