Hi, It's time again for another sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. This is a rather simple and versatile sketch - gotta love that!!
I went with a Christmas card (you'll probably be seeing a few more, as Christmas is not that far away-eek!) The beauty about this card was that I had previously stamped the tree and the rest is made all from scraps - took about 10 mins to put together :)
Now over to you! It's great seeing what you create and if you want to see the other design teams creations go here.
Any questions just ask and thanks for looking.

TSOT #125 - Happiest Birthday Yet
Hi, it's time again for another sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday and I'm going to keep this short and sweet, as I have an ironing pile that has been calling me for weeks and I'm about as revved up as I'll ever get to doing it :)
Initially I struggled with this one, but as soon as I switched it to a square, it all fell into place. I'm really happy with how this turned out. If you have any question, just ask :)

Festive Friday #39 - Inspiration Photo
Good morning! It's time yet again for a Festive Friday challenge and this week is an inspiration photo.
Here's the pic:
In the end I've kept it fairly clean and simple. I used my 'lovely as a tree' set and stamped and fussy cut three of the pine tree out and I've glued them together down the middle and ruffled the leaves to get some dimension. You cant see it in the photo, but the background is actually scored with squares and the pot I hand cut and I use some dimensionals to give it more depth. My greeting is meant to be like the mantel and it's from 'curly cute'.
So why not join us this week? Go past Nicole's blog and link your creation up to the froggie, we love to see what you create!
Thanks for looking :)

Now I was inspired by a whole heap of ideas and it was a process to work out what I was going to create :) I tried to re-create the santa in the fire place scene, I loved the stockings, the 'embossed' fire place and even the ornaments on the mantel. I would walk away from the photo and come back to see what really inspired me and I kept coming back to the potted tree and the pot as it reminded me of some of the pots my Mum had in our garden when I was growing up. So here is my card:

Festive Friday # 33 - Sketch Challenge
Good morning! Nicole has a sketch for us this week for Festive Friday.
Here's the sketch:
And my contribution:
I challenged myself to use "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set, and the pine tree was perfect for this sketch. I used the framelits to frame my image, I used some silver glimmer paper for a bit of bling and the sentiment is from "Short and Sweet". I used a retired button and pushed a small brad through the button holes, so I have a green middle. My colours are old olive, real red and whisper white.
Pop past Nicole's blog and have a go at this great sketch.
Thanks for looking.

Lovely Birthday
I'm back to share a card which made quite a while ago for a male relative. Not sure about you, but with male cards I tend to keep them pretty simple.
I actually got my inspiration from this card. It's super easy to put together, I used 'Lovely as a Tree' and stamped it in soft suede, then stamped it again without inking it, to get the shadow. The sentiment is stamped in soft suede and is from 'Curly Cute'. I layered it onto some blue card I had in my stash and used crumb cake as my base.
thanks for looking :)

Freshly Made Sketches #32
Hi! Recently I was asked to make some cards for a relative, and one needed to be a male card. I decided to go over at Freshly Made Sketches for some inspiration and I got it :)
Here's the sketch:
I made the card C6 size and used some retired DSP from my stash. I used my nestabilities to create my circles and did some sponging in crumb cake to get a bit more depth on the image circle. The tree is from 'Lovely as a Tree' and it's stamped in chocolate chip. I used some kitchen twine for the detail on the green panel and added some small silver brads.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Christmas Cards #1
I thought I'd share a few of my Christmas cards that I've been working on these past months (yes I started making Christmas cards in June)
This was actually a card that I made last Christmas, but I love it and thought I'd share it. It uses Mojo Monday Sketch # 165
I used Stampin Up's "Lovely as a tree"and I stamped off the image in old olive so it wasn't too bold, then added some 2 mm rhinestones from my stash. The flower rhinestone was also from my stash.
I really like this one. I found out the hard way last year that if you have lots of dimension on your cards, that it cost double to post. So I plan to make a few of these on different colours for those friends and family I wont be able to hand deliver to. I also wanted to have some non-traditional cards (as I tend to only have green and red for Christmas!)

Mojo Monday 201
This week Mojo Monday is letting you choose between a square or circle card. I dont tend to do either shaped card, so I kept it simple and went for a square card. If I have time and I'm feeling inspired, I might try a circle card.
Heres the sketch:
I need to start to stock up on Christmas cards, because sure enough Christmas will be here in no time (along with the warmer weather!) I'm not sure about you, but if I have to make a whole heap of Christmas cards in one hit, I seem to make them very similar looking and boring. By starting now I hopefully wont be doing a rushed job in December.
Thanks for looking.

Here's my take on it:
