Just for You

Good morning! So far so good, eh? If you follow me you will know that I'm trying to blog more this year and so far I'm not going too badly :)

Today I have a card that I created for a closed challenge site.

I love grey and white for a modern colour combo and love how the rose red flower just adds that extra bit of 'pop' and the leaves are from the bird builder punch. One tip I will give you is look at you punches, see if there are different shapes or uses you can see. You will get many more miles if you play around with your punches to create different shapes and sizes.

Any ways, as always thanks for looking :)

Baja Wedding

Hi! Well I'm here with a card other than a design team card. I made this card for some good friends of ours, who got married back in January. It's an easel card and I went with a simple colour scheme of baja breeze and white.

I was quite pleased with the result. If you have any questions just ask

Thanks for looking.

Elegant Three

Hello! I'm popping by to show you a few cards I made a while ago. They are quite a collaboration of different companies products. For all of them, the base and lacy circle are elegant eggplant, the dsp is bella bleu, the leaves are in old olive and punched out with the bird punch and the flowers are punched out with the boho blossom punch all Stampin up. The gold and white shimmer card is from Cristina Re, the cream card is from Artee, the pearls are from Kaiser Craft and the butterfly is from Martha Stewart. The lacy circle is from nestabilities.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up's 'On your Birthday'

The sentiment is from Verve stamps plain jane collection

This sentiment is also from Verve stamps plain jane collection

I was definitely on a roll when I made these, and I quite like them all :)

Thanks for looking

Thinking of You

Hi! It's great when I find cards which I haven't shared with you yet! I found my inspiration from this card. I didn't have the same stamp set which was used, so I used my 'baroque motifs' and the small flower from 'one of a kind' stamp set. I wanted a bit more colour, so I used old olive and rose red for the flowers which were punched out with the boho blossom punch. A little pearl just adds a little bit of bling :) The sentiment is from 'trendy trees' and is punched out with the oval and popped up on dimensionals. Once again, this is such a simple card, yet stunning and easy to mass produce.

Festive Friday #11

Hello again! It's time for another Festive Friday and we're still all about Easter cards. I think this is my favourite card I have made in a while!
Here it is...

I'll give you a quick run down of punches I've used.
The clouds are the small scallop circle cut down to desired size, the fence was made from the word window, then glued onto two thin strips of card. The rabbit is from 1 1/4" circle for the body, the head is 1" circle and the ears are also from the 1" circle (Check further down for detail on how ears were done) The rabbits eyes and nose are from the owl punch. The butterflies are from beautiful wings embosslit, the flowers are the smallest flower on the boho punch and the grass is a strip of certainly celery, which I cut by hand. The 'easter' banner was created using 3/4" circle for the base, and the letters were punched from the 1/2" circle. The banner is then tied to some crochet wool and tied to two tooth picks. I dont own any alphabet stamps, so I used letters from 'Curly Cute' stamp set, to create the word 'easter'. I popped the fence and the rabbit up on dimensionals for added depth and pearls finish it off nicely.

So there you have it - a 'brief' run down of punches used... still with me? :)

Now to create the ears, I did a few quick photos:

Punch out a circle.

Feed the circle half way into punch, then rotate card and feed other side in.
Here is what you will end up with from the one circle. Use the same method, but a smaller circle for the pink bits of the ear.

So now it's over to you.. pop past Nicole's blog to see what the other design team members have come up with and why not join in?

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Presents for my Family

Hi all! I hope your ready for Christmas!! I have been busy, so I'm going to have a bit to share with you before Christmas :) Last night I was up till late baking biscuits for my family and this morning I packaged them up. Here's what they look like:

I was pretty happy with how they turned out. The mug's are two different sizes and are from Big W. The sentiment is from "stamped for Christmas" by Annabelle stamps. A strip of Jolly Holiday DSP from Stampin up, a flower made from the Boho blossom punch and some bling to finish it off. I hope the recipients are happy with them as well! I'll be back soon to share some other projects that I've been working on. Thanks for looking!

Just Add Ink 82

I love this weeks challenge at Just Add Ink, they want us to go through our stash and find something that had every intention of being used, but never saw light of day. Well I fell in love with this paper I found in a wedding stationary shop about 2 years ago. I intended to make special cards for friends who were getting married, but never got to using it... SO here are the cards and few years late :)

I wanted to let the paper speak for itself and I found this old Mojo Monday (Sketch #176) that I thought was perfect.

The patterned paper on this card is metallic with a flocked, velvety feel by Cristina Re. I love the luscious feel of this paper.

I actually loved the base colour with this card, I teamed it up with another piece of paper that was in the depth's of my stash. I think this patterned paper is also done by Cristina Re.

Here's the sketch:

Mojo Monday 204

I loved this weeks sketch at Mojo Monday. So here is my entry for this week:

The photo doesn't do this card justice and once again I've done another Christmas card. When it comes to Christmas cards, I can tend to be pretty traditional. I used the motif stamp from "Bliss" for the background and then used the "French script" for the background for my centre square. All the red card has been sponged on the edge to give it some depth. I love the end result, hope you do.

Heres the sketch:

Hope you have a great day!
