Sweet Baby

Hi, today I have 2 baby cards, which I made a while ago.

Both of these card were super simple to create. I found these tags in my stash (I have no idea where they are from - sorry) and all I did was mount them onto a white base, which I had embossed, added a sentiment  and some twine and pearls and I was done!

I think they are pretty cute - what do you think? Which one is your favourite?

JAI 176 - Just Add Blokes

Hi all, just popping past to share a card that I made for this weeks Just Add Ink challenge, which is 'Just add blokes'. This was perfect timing, as it's Hubby's birthday and I needed a card :)

I went quite graphic and as he's a Port Power fan, I decided to use these colours. I actually printed the 'birthday' from MDS (how awesome is that program?!) And I dont know if you can see it, due to the picture being a bit too stark, grr, but I did emboss the white with the chevron EB folder. I was quite happy with the end result, and I think Hubby was too.

TSOT #126

Hi! Where are the days going? It's school holidays here and I've lost complete track of the days - ever happen to you? Any ways, here's my card for this weeks Try Stampin' On Tuesday.

I'm trying to use up items from my stash and so this card came together quite quickly. I already had the dinosaur coloured and the background embossed, I just added it to a base, stamped a sentiment and added some pearls.

We hope you are able to join in with us this week. Check out the other design teams creations here and remember to link up your creation.

Oh Boy

Hi there! Just passing to share a few baby cards that I made. These two are both for the little guys.

The elephant on this card, is a sticker from Kaisercraft. I have stuck this onto scrap card, fussy cut it out and mounted with dimensionals. I used the chevron embossing folder from SU to add texture to the background. I LOVE how modern this card feels and one that I will make again.

This card is a bit more traditional to me. I used some blue card from my scraps and the giraffe is a chipboard cut out. I have also used the chevron embossing folder here too, as I love chevrons at the moment!

So which one is your favourite? I'll be back later to share two baby girl cards I made.

TSOT #108 - Two Owls

Hello! It's time for another fabulous sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I actually struggled with this one - dont know why, as it's a nice clean and simple sketch - my favourite! But I think my mojo has gone MIA this past week.

Any ways heres the great sketch from Mynnette:

And my contribution:

This is a card which started out with one idea in mind, but as I was making it, ended up being a baby card - ever happen to anyone else. This card is for all the mums expecting twin boys - I dont think I could go there ;) I kept the lines clean and simple and I used marina mist, crumb cake and a strip of greenhouse gala dsp. The sentiment is from fabulous phrases and the panel behind the owls is the A to Z stamped in daffodil delight.

Go past the Try Stampin' On Tuesday blog, for the other design teams fantastic creations and link yours up as well - we love seeing what you come up with!

Happy Birthday

Hi! I'm loving having a bit more free time, now I can actually have time to join in with some great challenges! So for this card I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches :

And my creation...

I know it's not a new idea using stitching down the middle of an element, but while spending a bit (ok a lot :) of time on Pinterest, I've seen a few cards using it and wanted to try it. I pulled out my subtle polka dot scraps from the paper stack and punched out two hearts in each colour, I sponged the edges, and attached to crumb cake tag with stitching. I layered wild wasabi lacy circle behind the tag and added my happy birthday from 'Teeny tiny sentiments'. The white background is embossed with the chevron EB folder.

Go here to check out the design teams great creation :)

I also wanted to enter this card for Inkspirational Challenge - anything goes. Once again an amazing design team, so go here and check out their creations.

A Mustard Tree

Hi! It's time again for another sketch over at  Try Stampin' On Tuesday - where is the time going?? This week is a great clean and simple sketch from Jenn - seriously, how talented is this lady!
Here's the sketch we have to work with:

Here's my take on it:

I went clean and simple and pulled out colours I never seem to use! I used more mustard, not quite navy  and white. I ran the white panel through the chevron embossing folder, and used different DSP from the regal paper stack. I inked my tree from 'Forrest friends' in  more mustard, but stamped off once before stamping onto my white circle. The sentiment was stamped in not quite navy and it's from 'On your birthday'. I added a few silver pearls and propped the circle onto dimensionals. I was really happy with the end result - a quick and simple guys card, that I actually made a few more of this design.

So go on over and check out the other creations the design team have come up with -  I know you'll be impressed!

Simple Tag's

Hi! I just wanted to quickly share these simple tags I made up for the gift bags for Christmas.

I used some retired dsp and a few different elements and created 10 of these in about a half hour - too easy. Any questions just ask :)

Freshly Made Sketches #57

Hi all! I'm here to share a card I made for this weeks challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

I've have had this image coloured for ages and it's been sitting on my desk, just waiting to be made into a card! The sketch was perfect for this :) I've gone with a brown palette, using soft suede, crumb cake and sahara sand. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Here's the sketch:

Go past and check out the design team designs - as always they are amazing!

Festive Friday #41 - Sketch

Good morning! It's time agin for a Festive Friday. This week Nicole has a great sketch for us to use:

 Here's my take on it:

I'm loving marina mist and bashful blue together for Christmas. I pulled out a new set 'Polar Party' which I fell in love with as soon as I saw it, and coloured the cute polar bear. Now here in Australia we're not really known for our 'white' Christmases, but I love how this card has turned out! The snow flakes are from 'Snow Swirled', stamped in white craft ink and white heat embossed. I then used my chevron embossing folder to add texture to the marina mist strip. I used my scallop edge punch border for the bottom of the strip and glimmer paper for a thin border around the image.

My sentiment is from 'Jolly Jingles' wheel. I bought this knowing I wanted to cut it up and use the sentiments separately. I mounted them onto cling mount foam and I was able to cut out every sentiment, with no waste.

This is a great sketch - dress it up or keep it simple - either way we love to see what you create :) So link up your creation to Nicole's blog and get a start on you Christmas cards!
